The Government was asked to prove the existence of a threat on Telegram

KIBLAT.NET, Jakarta – One of the reasons the government blocking Telegram’s conversation service because it is often used by terrorist groups.

Related matter, Director of Strategic Studies and public policy (PUSHAMI), Jaka Setiawan questioned the reasons and asked the Government to prove it.

“The Government must prove itself to the public.So the problem is national accountability statement. The Government must prove if these Telegrams interfere with security, “He told Kiblat.net when contacted via telephone line, Sunday (23/07).

The question of the allegations that terrorists used the Telegram, he revealed that the Telegram users haven’t as much as WhatsApp and Facebook. He thinks that application can be used to move the masses.

“But if the allegations are used for certain networks, for example, the government must prove that there are threats, what cases and what events should be explained,” he said.

Jaka also revealed that it is the responsibility of the government in every public policy must be accompanied with arguments from the government.”It’s a matter of public policy, so the public should hear what arguments the Government,” he said.
