KIBLAT.NET – JAKARTA, Chairman of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM), Nur Kholis considers that the Revision of Anti-Terrorism Law currently being drafted by the House of Representatives Commission III needs to consider remediation aspects for people who are not terrorists, and get violent.
“We also receive complaints of the alleged, as well as the families of those who accused of terrorists, Even tend people who are not the perpetrators. And people who have nothing to do with the movement,” He told Kiblat.net at the Westin Hotel, Jakarta on Tuesday (30/05).
“That’s what I think should be strengthened in the new law, if want to law revise,” he added.
In addition, Komnas HAM also asked for preventive efforts, involving many parties. He asserted that Komnas HAM concentrated on that point.
“If you want about this revision a matter of preventive efforts. This effort does involve many parties, and we concentrate on it. So it is better long term, rather than responding to reactions, “he said.
