KIBLAT.NET – He video of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok’s speech in Seribu Islands on September 27, 2016, quoting al-Maidah verse 51, was played during the 17th trial of blasphemy case on Tuesday (April 4). The Trial Coordinator of National Movement to Safeguard MUI’s Fatwa (GNPF MUI) Nasrulloh Nasution said the defendant confirmed his statement during the trial.

Nasrulloh said Ahok’s statement for quoting the words that he assumed as an insult to Al Maidah verse 51 was valid evidence. “Ahok is now being asked for defendant’s testimony, in which his statement will be valid evidence to strengthen the prosecutor’s accusation,” said him in South Jakarta on the same day.

According to Nasrulloh, Ahok firmly confirmed for saying, “Do not want to be lied using Al Maidah verse 51.” He said it was perfect evidence. “We are sure that the Panel of Judges will consider it as incriminating evidence for him (Ahok),” said Nasrulloh.

During the trial on Tuesday, public prosecutors played some videos given by complainants as evidence. It contained the video located in Seribu Islands, in Jakarta City Hall and in National Democratic Party office. Those were collected from the Youtube channel of Jakarta Provincial Government, rapporteur Habib Novel Chaidir Hasan, Burhanuddin, and Muchsin Alatas.

Ahok firmly said that the pictures and voices were valid. The videos were played for more than three hours. The trial was postponed for praying and lunch time and then resumed by hearing Ahok’s testimony.
