KIBLAT.NET, Jakarta – Ex Chairman of National Agency of Amil Zakat (Baznas), Prof. Didin Hafidhuddin provide a view associated plans Bappenas using funds for poverty alleviation program of zakat. He says, the Government should not intervene in the management of zakat.
“In principle, the Government should not intervene,” Didi told Kiblat.net in Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta on Sunday (18/09).
He further said that, the role of Government is represented by the BAZNAS and institutions of Amil Zakat (LAZ). Additionally, the mechanism of the use of Zakat funds different with APBN, so that management cannot be equated.
“Later will complicate,” he said.
The process use of APBN funds through several stages, not immediately be disbursed. Not the same as remittances zakat transmitted directly.
“This means, when there are poor people must be given,” he said.
As reported previously, Bappenas plans to use zakat funds Baznas for the process of poverty reduction. Bambang Brodjonegoro said, programs running singly not walk at maximum.
